This concludes the final romance in my St. Clairs’ trilogy, the first time I’ve written in the Regency Era—and I love it! Luke is the youngest St. Clair and a proverbial bad boy who’s tired of his empty life. I paired him with a strong Englishwoman who’d been stranded in America during the War of 1812. She’s taken on some independent American qualities during her years away from England that will make her quite the match for Luke!
What is your favorite genre to read?
I love reading everything, especially romance, suspense, and thrillers.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
Miss Elizabeth Bennet is perfection!
What are you working on at the moment?
I’ve finished up the three novellas that feature new heroes and heroines in the Regency Era, while a few of the characters from my St. Clairs trilogy stop by for some of the fun. Readers will see the Earl of Merrifield making a fine match with a de Wolfe from the North, as well as two other de Wolfes finding their HEAs.
What books will we see from you in coming months?
Embracing the Earl (The St. Clairs Book 3) is a June 22 release. The three novellas will follow later in 2019.

It’s late, he’s bored. What does he do?
Tyler is rarely bored. He worked long and hard to build his business and even now it captures his attention most often. When he takes a break he spends time with his sister and her son. Now of course, he’d like to be spending time with Austin, if she’d ever wake up to the fact that he loves her.
What kind of food would he impulse buy if hungry?
He’s a burger and fries kind of guy generally. But he lives in San Francisco, so anything he has a hankering for he can easily find. He enjoys North Beach for Italian or some of the best stir fry from Chinatown.
Describe the kind of clothes he prefers to wear.
Tyler is the kind of man who dresses the way he wants people to view him. So at work he wears a suit. At home or out with family he wears jeans and a sweatshirt (or tee). He’s not into anything fancy or trendy—or even name brands. He just wants to be comfortable and yet neat.
Does he know how to fix things?
Yes, he’s pretty handy. His sister is a widow and he’s taken care of things around her house for years. Strangely, where he will make time to repair things at his sister’s, he usually hires someone to make repairs beyond tightening a screw at his own place.
He tried to do something and it went badly. Tell us about it.
Austin has never given Tyler the time of day. But when an unusual opportunity presented itself to get Austin alone and seduce her without revealing his identity, he grabbed it. Was it the right things to do? NO!!! Not surprisingly, Austin was not happy. Tyler had to fight to gain back any ground he’d won for her affection and it was not fast or easy coming.
How does he act around children he doesn’t know?
Tyler is very close to his nephew Robbie, and he likes kids. Meeting children doesn’t faze him. He’d always thought he would marry and have a big family and it’s still something he wants.
What is he like first thing in the morning?
He’s one of those annoying people who wakes up ready for the day. Hardly even needs a cup of coffee.
Can he use chopsticks?
Absolutely! And he uses them often because Chinese is one of his favorite kinds of food.
Does he drink coffee? If so, how does he take it? If not, what does he drink instead?
He drinks lots of coffee! He takes it black.
What apps would he have on his phone?
He’s not one for social apps or games. He would have only those things needed for business. He would probably also have something related to food—a food service or an order app for his favorite restaurants, especially for when he eats at the office.

Beard or clean-shaven?
Clean shaven.
Earrings/piercings/tattoos or unadorned skin?
His skin is free and clear. He was never interested in tattoos and piercings or earrings are just…no.
Personal vehicle or public transport?
Normally he’s too impatient for public transport so he drives to work. But for a few days he took the bus and he’s very happy that he did!

Malacke is a medieval prince. He does not “buy” food.
Describe the kind of clothes he prefers to wear.
His riding breeches. Being out with his horse, strolling along a stream or charging through a field are places he would much rather be than in the Royal Court.
Does he know how to fix things?
Political things he can fix. A rebel army trying to invade is father’s kingdom – Malacke would lead the army in the charge to defend the castle. If a strap on his saddle broke or his sword was damaged, he would be at a loss of how to fix it.
He tried to do something and it went badly. Tell us about it.
Being a dutiful prince, he courted a lady-of-the-court. She was from a proper family with a long and noble bloodline. At the moment he was willing to request her hand in marriage, she bedded his hated rival. The humiliation was overwhelming and he closed himself off to love.
How does he act around children he doesn’t know?
He is as uncomfortable around children he doesn’t as he is around children he knows. They are kept out of the royal court, so he has had little experience dealing with them.
What is he like first thing in the morning?
A dragon would be cuddlier than he.
How does he handle things when in a “proper” social situation?
In a proper court fashion – socially correct on all points with a touch of Malacke arrogance.
Valet or takes care of himself?
Both. He has a serving boy – Duncan. But Duncan is smart enough to know those days when it is best that he allow his master – Prince Malacke – to do things for himself.
Necktie/cravat or open shirt?
As he knows not what a necktie or a cravat is, he would reply – open shirt.
Sleeves buttoned or rolled up?
When in court, Malacke dresses formally – therefore buttoned sleeves. But when freed from the duties of court – his sleeves would be rolled up – if he were wearing a shirt.
Powdered wig or natural hair?
Natural Hair.
Carriage or horseback?
Seated tall on a proud stallion.
