Breakup in a Small Town by Kristina Knight @AuthorKristina #RLFblog #contemporary
Kristina Knight, author of Breakup in a Small Town, answers five easy questions.
Please tell us about yourself.
Once upon a time, Kristina Knight spent her days running from car crash to fire to meetings with local police–no, she wasn’t a troublemaker, she was a journalist. Her career took her all over the United States, writing about everything from a serial killer’s capture to the National Finals Rodeo. Along the way, she found her very own Knight in Shining Cowboy Boots and an abiding love for romance novels. And just like the characters from her favorite books, she’s living her own happily ever after.
Kristina writes sassy contemporary romance novels; her books have appeared on Kindle Best Seller Lists. She loves hearing from readers, so drop her a line!
What’s your favorite down-home family style meal?
RadioMan is a master griller, so during the summer and fall months, he takes on a lot of the cooking duties. When I’m cooking, though, I like meals that taste amazing, but that aren’t hugely time consuming. No Peek Chicken is one of my favorites because it’s so easy (1 can of Cream of Chicken soup, 1 box of Chicken flavored rice, 4 boneless chicken breasts). You mix the soup and the rice, put the chicken breasts on top of them, sprinkle a little paprika and cover with tin foil to bake for a couple of hours. Perfection!
What is your go-to meal when you dine out?
There are so many! We have a fab Mexican restaurant in town and their chicken fajitas are seriously amazing…I think I could eat there every day and not get tired of the food!
What’s your favorite hashtag to watch on Twitter?
The live streaming ones! I love following along on Twitter during reality TV (especially their finales and reunion shows)!
Describe the perfect vacation.
It’s me, RadioMan, and bebe. Warm weather, a nice beach, maybe some snorkeling, and no schedules. I’m a simple girl, really.
What kinds of things do you read when you’re researching a new book?
I write mainly contemporary, so there isn’t a lot of time-specific research I have to do, but if I have a character who is, for example, a brain surgeon, I would read a bit about their daily lives, the kind of education they’d have. That sort of thing…and if there is a memoir out from someone in a field that one of my characters is in, that’s a must-read for me!
If the hero of your latest book called you on the phone, what would be a perfect ringtone for him?
Adam’s ringtone…hmm…May We All by Florida Georgia Line. Adam loves his small town life, and he would like everyone to experience it, so that song totally fits him.
Please tell us about your latest book.

1365 A.D. – After the Earl of Sandbourne banishes his supposedly unfaithful wife to a convent, his young son Michael swears never to set foot on the family’s estate until after his father’s death. Michael will then claim his title as the new earl and restore his beloved mother to a place of honor.

Now as her wedding day approaches, dread fills her—until she meets a dashing stranger who helps her deliver a foal. Rancher at Risk by @BarbaraWDaille #RLFblog #contemporary #romance
Today’s featured book is Rancher at Risk (Flagman’s Folly #4) by Barbara White Daille.
Hi! It’s always a pleasure to visit Romance Lives Forever, and I love the look of the new site.
Thanks to Kayelle for the cover love for my emotionally tortured hero in Rancher at Risk. Hope you enjoy the peek at the cover blurb. Note, all my books – even in a series – stand alone as far as each hero and heroine reaching their happy ending by the final page of their story.
A Fresh Start
After the loss of his family in a tragic accident, Ryan Malloy has been given one last chance to change his life. His boss sends him to Flagman’s Folly, New Mexico, to run his ranch, but unfortunately, Ryan’s troubled attitude lands him in hot water with the locals, especially the ranch’s manager, Lianne Ward.
Deaf since birth, Lianne has never let her disability define who she is. But, she’s yet to meet a man who treats her as an equal. Ryan seems different…that is, when they’re not butting heads over the ranch’s new school for disadvantaged boys.
Forced to work together, Lianne and Ryan discover an unexpected attraction beneath their quarreling. But will Ryan’s painful past drive them apart…permanently?
