    Follow in the Tigerman’s Footsteps a new #memoir by @Tigermanguest #RLFblog

    About the Author

Colin Guest, a 75 yr old Englishman first book was “An Expats Experiences of Living in Turkey,” published by Amazon Kindle. His second, “Follow in the Tigerman’s Footsteps,” published by Partridge Publishing Singapore, is a memoir. It gets its name from Colin’s love of Tigers and covers 19 years of his working as an expat in 15 countries, spread through the Middle, Far East & North Africa. During this time, he lived the kind of life most only dream about. Apart from his two books, he had an article published in his home town in England, carried out a one hour podcast, with a video recording of one chapter of his memoir read on Novels Wild Festival. He also had an article published in ExpatNetwork, a UK expat magazine, with over fourteen of his articles published in online magazines. These include Escape Artist, Escape from America, ExpatNetwork, Expats Focus, Global living and Oval Publishing.
Colin’s working life started with his doing a five-year apprenticeship as a joiner/shopfitter in Plymouth, Devon, England. This led to an early start in first traveling around England on numerous projects, before working on two projects abroad. While working back in England, due to a back injury, he and his wife were put in serious financial difficulties. As a result, after deciding to work as an expat, never looked back.
Apart from his writing, Colin worked as a volunteer at three wildlife rescue/rehabilitation centers, two in South Africa, and one in Thailand. This for animal lovers, he recommends as an alternative to a normal holiday.
After living in Turkey for over twenty years, since the death of his wife, he later married a Turkish lady. They now enjoy a happy second life in Istanbul, Turkey.

    Interview with Colin Guest

Why did you write this book?
It started as a record for my children to know more about the 19 years I spent working abroad, but then I thought my experiences would be of interest to others as it shows there is more to life than a boring 9-5 job.
What is your favorite genre to read?
    Thrillers
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
Reacher from the Le Child series
What are you working on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
I have just started writing my first novel
Please tell us about your latest book.
“Follow in the Tigerman’s Footsteps,” sub-titled “The Adventurous Life of an Expat,” comes from my love of tigers that like me love to roam far and wide. It reads more like an adventure story than a memoir and covers a working life most only dream about. As a qualified joiner/shopfitter, I worked on fitting out shops, banks and offices all over England, as well as a few projects in Scotland. However, never in my wildest dreams did I think I would end up experiencing travel and working in so many different countries. Readers will see that there is more to life than a boring 9-5 job, with the whole world waiting for you to experience life in a country other than your own.
Until an old company contacted me about a contract in Iran, I had no thoughts about working overseas. Although in two minds about accepting, when made redundant by the company I worked for, it made my mind up. Working in Iran proved both exciting, and dangerous. Without doubt it was a far cry from working in England, especially when along with sixty fellow workers we found ourselves caught up in a revolution. From Iran, my company sent me to Qatar, where life was peaceful and the beaches fantastic. On completing this contract, I returned to work in the UK. While doing so, a back injury cost me my job, resulting in my family and I put into serious financial difficulties. I decided that once cured, as I knew I could earn far more money by working as an expat than in my home country of England, I would work overseas.
As a result, of this decision, I went on to enjoy and incredible life.

He’s looking for normal, but has he found Mayberry or Middle Earth?
Isn’t it just like a man to exit a relationship when he finds out a woman has a few little secrets? The last time I’d seen Sheriff Jack Lang, he got his first glimpse of my Paramortal “talents” – a few measly bolts of lightning aimed at his – in his general direction.
I’ve denied my heritage as a Tempestaerie for nineteen years, but now my brother River, a Djnni like our father, is missing. Sheriff Lang is finally on board with our search for River but time is running out. In the course of the investigation we’ve gone from attraction to suspicion, support to friendship, romance to oh-my-god-get-away-from-me revulsion.
Jack’s an ex-Navy pilot. He says he wants to know “everything”. My ex-lover, Dylan McGuinness, says after we answer Jack’s questions, he’ll either join us, or grab his daughter and take the first jet out of Middle Earth. Jack may stick around, help me save my brother and discover the whereabouts of my parents, but I doubt he’ll still want to take me to the Mardi Gras ball, once he knows “everything”. Embraced by a Rogue a new #regency by @Collette_Author #RLFblog

This quick interview includes info about the author, and introduces the story.

    About the Author

A bestselling, award-winning author Collette Cameron pens Scottish and Regency historicals featuring rogues, rapscallions, rakes, and the intelligent, intrepid damsels who reform them.
Blessed with three spectacular children, fantastic fans, and a compulsive, over-active, and witty Muse who won’t stop whispering new romantic romps in her ear, she lives in Oregon with her husband and five mini-dachshunds, though she dreams of living in Scotland part-time.
Admitting to a quirky sense of humor, Collette enjoys inspiring quotes, adores castles and anything cobalt blue, and is a self-confessed Cadbury chocoholic. You’ll always find dogs, birds, occasionally naughty humor, and a dash of inspiration in her sweet-to-spicy timeless romances.

    Interview with Collette Cameron

Why did you write this book?
Embraced by a Rogue is a limited edition collection containing the first three novellas in my Waltz with a Rogue Novella Series.
I wanted to give readers the opportunity to read all three of the stories which take place at the Wimpleton’s ball, and feature familiar characters.
What is your favorite genre to read?
Historical romance!  I’m particularly fond of an medieval, Scottish, and Regency, though I’ve read many other subgenres too.
I became hooked on historicals when I was thirteen and a friend gave  me a Barbara Cartland Regency.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
I always struggle with this question, because it’s difficult to pick just one. Right now I confess to an infatuation with Ross Poldark and Jamie Fraser. I think it’s the accents!
What are you working on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
I am finishing up Scandal’s Splendor, Book 3 in my Highland Heather Romancing a Scot series, and then I have to jump right into writing a novella for a boxed set releasing in July.
I’ll be writing the fifth and sixth books in the Highland Heather Romancing a Scot Series as well as Intentions Gone Afoul, book 3 in my Conundrum of the Misses Culpeppers,  and—takes a deep breath—writing two more novellas, one for my A Waltz with A Rogue Novella series.
I don’t plan on doing much else this year but writing!
Please tell us about your latest book.
Embraced by a Rogue: A Trilogy of Enticing Second Chance Romances
True love deserves a second chance.
One magical night, Fate orchestrates the reunion of three pairs of lovers at the same Regency ball. Beneath a balmy starlit sky, do the wounded rogues and the resilient women who once adored them, dare open their hearts and gamble on love one final time?
For the first time ever, bestselling, award winning historical romance author Collette Cameron  offers A Waltz with a Rogue Novellas #1-3 in an emotionally stirring limited edition collection.
A Kiss for Miss Kingsley A sweet romance of love relinquished and redeemed as once betrothed Allen Wimpleton and Olivia Kingsley meet again after a three year separation only to discover, their love is stronger than ever.
Bride of Falcon A tender tale of enduring love, Bride of Falcon, unites a clumsy noblewoman resigned to spinsterhood with the man she’s loved since girlhood; a penniless soldier who returns to England from India, a disfigured and disillusioned man.
Her Scandalous Wish When an obligatory marriage offers turns into an unexpected second chance for love, Viscount Kingsley seizes it, but Philomena’s desperation-borne acceptance forces her to trust the man who betrayed her once already.

    Fly a new #eroticromance by @RedLJameson #RLFblog

This quick interview includes info about the author, and introduces the story.

    About the Author

Red L. Jameson is an award-winning and multi-published author. She writes in many genres. Her pen name, L. B. Joramo, includes the odd combination of historical and paranormal for the Immortal American Series. However, it is under her “Red” name, her nickname too, where all her stories are strongly laced with love, including contemporary, historical, time-travel, paranormal, and erotic romance. Red lives in the wilds of Montana with her family and a few too many animals, and is currently working on her next novel that she hopes will make her readers laugh, cry, think, and fall in love.

    Interview with Red L. Jameson

Why did you write this book?
Fly is the second book in the Wild Love Series, which are all set in Wyoming and/or Montana, where things get a little wild. J But the main reason I wrote the book was for Dee, the protagonist of the story. She’d been talking to me long before I wrote the first book of the series. When I finally dove in and started to write her story, she was nearly screaming in my head. I’m glad she’s taking things easy on me now that her story’s out.
What is your favorite genre to read?
I really don’t know if I have a favorite genre. I like them all so much. If it’s a good story, I’ll read it. If it’s unique and good, I’ll be even more happy. However, I have been drawn to more contemporary erotic romance lately, as well as historical non-fiction of the 1920- 1930s. That was an amazing time.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
Hands down, Scout from To Kill a Mockingbird. There’s beautiful magic in that book. Scout is so real with so many flaws, but so brave, so special.
What are you working on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
There’s another full-length novel in the Wild Love Series coming soon. After that a novella, also in the same series. And then back to a full-length contemporary erotic romance book.
Please tell us about your latest book.
**Book 2 of the Wild Love Series, an erotic romance**
    Pregnant.
    And alone.
My worst nightmare becomes my greatest blessing.
Together, they rescued me, literally saved me from a snowy disaster. Both of them—with their tenderness and compassion. But it’s their Navy SEAL, iron-tough, and tattooed bodies that have me wanting more—wanting them. They’ve transformed me, while I awakened them—showed them the beauty of what could be.
Two months ago, I would’ve chosen one, seduced him like only I know how. But that was two months ago, and so much has changed. I can’t tell them about the baby. I couldn’t bear it if they walked away—out of my life.
I’ll have to tell them. This can’t continue. They both want me, and my resistance is waning.  I want what I want—and I want them.
    Both of them.

    Promising a new #NewAdultromance by @RebelMillerBoox #RLFblog

This quick interview includes info about the author, and introduces the story.

    About the Author

Rebel Miller is an author who overindulges in Pinot Grigio, caramel popcorn and an eclectic mix of movies, music and angst-filled romance novels.
Rebel earned a graduate degree in Communications and Culture from Ryerson University and an undergraduate degree from the University of the West Indies.
Rebel lives in the outskirts of Toronto, Canada with her husband and two sons.

    Interview with Rebel Miller

Why did you write this book?
This question always stumps me! I think the reason is because the story had been percolating in my mind over a number of months, demanding that I write it.
I envisioned developing a New Adult romance that was set against an intensely dramatic backdrop and was unexpected in every way, yet would still resonate with readers of the genre – whether lovers of contemporary or futuristic settings. For me, that meant creating a world set hundreds of years in the future where I could challenge the female lead, Kira Metallurgist, in her assumptions about her social class, identity, sexuality and what it means to be in love. As Kira starts out on her career path and finds herself in a tangled love triangle, I include a lot of thematic notes that readers will be able to identify with while enjoying her out of this world journey.
What is your favorite genre to read?
Hmmm. Well … let me think. LOL. Anything romance, of course! I also love thrillers/suspense. Having now started on my third book and plotting for future novels, I can see where my reading preferences are coming through my work!
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
There are so many! All right, if I must choose, the character that first comes to mind is David Strorm from The Chrysalids by John Wyndham. I love this book so much that I referenced it in my first novel, Awakening. While it isn’t a romance, the story has stayed with me since I first read it for English Literature class in high school. In fact, I have a copy on my bedside table right now!
What are you working on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
I’m well into writing the final book in The Realm Series, which will be the final instalment in Kira’s story. In this novel, I place Kira in even more challenging and emotional situations. She’ll be confronting a lot of her secrets and fears and, of course, make a decision on who to be with – whether Gannon or Tai … or, hey, maybe she’ll end up with both! I’m excited to see how it all works out!
After that, I head right into writing my first stand-alone novel. It will be a contemporary romance (suspense). Following this story, I’ll head back into The Realm Series, but writing the story for Liandra Ambassador who we first meet in Awakening. Stay tuned for details!
Please tell us about your latest book.
Promising, the riveting follow-up to Awakening by Rebel Miller.
Faced with diverging loyalties — between those she loves and her responsibility to the Realm — Kira has to make heartrending and strategic decisions that threaten to jeopardize her future.
As her connection to Tai deepens and turmoil in the Realm builds, so does Gannon’s frustration at being unable to call Kira his own.
Worlds at War … A Heart in Conflict
While the Realm stands defiant amidst rising unrest, Kira is thrust into a role that puts her at the forefront of her system’s governance and law, supporting a landmark position. Following a devastating turn of events, she turns to Tai for a shoulder to lean on after making a painful choice to ensure Gannon fulfils the role he was meant for.
As she becomes a reluctant – yet inspiring – voice for her caste, Kira learns about one of the Realm’s most well-kept secrets and how far leadership will go to prevent it from being revealed. What she doesn’t know is how much the decisions of her past have the power to bring enemies into her path, threatening to destroy everyone she holds close to her heart.

Stressing the Hero: Gazillionaire and the Virgin #eroticromance @lisabetsarai #RLFblog

Stressing the Hero from The Gazillionaire and the Virgin a BDSM erotic romance by Lisabet Sarai.

    Author Bio

Lisabet Sarai occasionally tackles other genres, but BDSM will always be her first love. Every one of her nine novels includes some element of power exchange, while her D/s short stories range from mildly kinky to intensely perverse.

    About the Book

Title The Gazillionaire and the Virgin
    Genre  Contemporary BDSM Erotic Romance
Book heat level (based on movie ratings):  R
When Silicon Valley entrepreneur Rachel Zelinsky meets reclusive genius Theo Moore, she finds him strangely compelling. Theo is both arrogant and socially awkward, but he has an aura of power that speaks to Rachel’s carefully-hidden submissive side. Disturbed and aroused, she tries to focus on her original objective—a deal to incorporate his Artificial Intelligence software into her company’s popular virtual world. Rachel’s not a woman who lets pleasure interfere with business, but for some reason, she can’t resist Theo’s geeky appeal.
Theo Moore can’t be bought. His past battles with poverty make him deeply suspicious of the billionaire CEO. Still, with her voluptuous curves and brilliant mind, Rachel embodies his ultimate sexual fantasy. Too bad his knowledge about sex derives from extensive research and a stash of kinky porn rather than real-world experience.
That doesn’t bother Rachel, however. In his bed—in his arms—in his bonds—she discovers the bliss of total surrender. Rachel may be Theo’s first lover, but Theo is Rachel’s first true Master—and the first man to truly touch her heart. It seems that love may harmonize their differing goals and values, until Rachel’s unwitting violation of Theo’s trust threatens to tear them apart forever.

    Stressing the Hero

Every hero has a story. He has a background, a history, and a past. This interview allows us to meet a hero and get to know him better, by focusing on how he handles being relaxed, as well as how he handles stress.

    The Hero’s Relaxed Side

This hero is at a party. Considering his story, describe the party.
Theo actually does attend a party in the book, a fund-raising event for his technology charity Code in the Hood (CIH) that’s organized by the heroine, Rachel Zelinsky. The event takes place at the Computer History Museum, a real museum in Silicon Valley. There’s an open bar, a buffet, a band playing soft rock, and lots of technology executives with cash to burn milling around.
    He’s anything but relaxed, though!
How does the hero feel about being this particular party, and what body language is he displaying that gives it away?
He’d rather be almost anywhere else. He parks himself at a table in the corner and fidgets with the CIH brochures stacked up in the center, at least until Rachel drags him out to socialize with potential donors.
Is he more likely to mingle or remain aloof?
He’d much rather remain aloof, but Rachel won’t let him. However, once he gets started talking about the charity which is his personal passion, his nervousness disappears.
If he drinks, what is his drink of choice at this party?
At this party he has his first taste of champagne. And he likes it very much!
How much drink is his usual?
Theo hardly ever drinks. Once he tastes the champagne, though, he wants more.
The hero figures out where the hiding places are and then goes there. Is it to hide, to avoid someone, or to go drag a friend back to the party?
Theo would love to hide. Crowds and strangers make him terribly anxious.
Is he likely to latch onto a friend and stay with him/her and ignore others, or is he the friend that others latch onto?
He hangs on to Rachel for dear life. She’s the only person he knows at the party, and the only one who can keep him from panicking.
If someone picked a fight at this party, how is the hero going to handle it?
If you asked Theo this question in the abstract, he’d tell you that he’d run and hide. In fact, he’d probably try to break up the fight, then possibly freak out afterward.
Is the hero the one most likely to get tossed out of the party, or the one who does the tossing?
He’s not likely to get tossed out. He’s generally pretty mild-mannered. It’s pretty difficult to imagine him tossing anyone else out, though physically he could manage this.
Will he know when to leave, or stay late and make a nuisance of himself?
He’d rather not be there at all, so he’d probably leave as soon as he could slip away.

    The Hero’s Stressed Out Side

How does the hero handle it if the cops or some other authority figure pulls him aside when he was blameless in a situation?
He will try to reason with the cops. He might get sarcastic. If he’s not successful in convincing them to release him, he’ll probably sulk.
How does the hero react to hearing a scream?
His first reaction will be to try and discover who screamed, and why. If he believes someone is being hurt, he’ll temporarily forget his self-consciousness
If he sees someone being assaulted, what is the FIRST thing that crosses his mind?
He wonders what was going on, and why.
If he sees someone being assaulted, what is the FIRST thing he does?
In fact, he probably wades into the fray, trying to pull the assailant off the victim. Later, he won’t believe he’s done this.
This hero attempts to rescue someone and realizes that he is in over his head. The odds are against him and there is no way out. He is going to get his butt handed to him. What does he do?
When Theo can’t utilize his physical skills to implement the rescue, he’ll fall back on his intellectual abilities. He’ll try to figure out some way to trick his opponents, or to sneak away.
The hero runs into the one person from his past he wanted to avoid. He can’t get out of the situation and must interact with him/her in some way. What does he do?
He becomes very stiff and formal. He keep his words to a minimum, saying only what is absolutely necessary.
Someone younger than the hero is in charge of the situation, and they are handling it badly, perhaps bungling things. How does the hero deal with it?
He’s surprisingly bossy, giving instructions and perhaps getting a bit impatient if the person in charge doesn’t obey. He might resort to sarcasm or ridicule.
The hero is in physical pain but must bear up under it and keep going. What does he tell himself in order to get through the situation?
He thinks about the safety and comfort of his home, and how good it will feel to finally arrive there.
What mentor’s words come to mind in a bad situation?
“Don’t underestimate yourself. Expect to succeed.”
What lesson from his past gets him through a stressful situation?
He remembers how he saved Rachel from a cyber-assault. That reminds him how powerful he really is.
