    Perfect Partners a romance by @Stephaniewriter #RLFblog #contemporary

    Perfect Partners
Cover Love at Romance Lives Forever is a short intro to a
book and includes a cover, blurb, buy links, and social media contacts for the
author. Today’s featured book is Perfect Partners by Stephanie Cage.
“What’s he doing back in London after all this time?”
Eight years ago, Lisa Darby’s dancing partner and first love,
    Redmond Carrington, left London
for a fun summer on the cruise ships – and never came back. Lisa’s grown up a bit
since then, and she’d like to think she’s prepared for anything, but when Red comes
    back from America
with a proposal for her, she’s not sure she’s ready for what he’s suggesting.
A TV studio is filming a knockout competition of six of the world’s
best couples – each of them partners both on and off the dance floor. Redmond wants Lisa to pose
as his girlfriend so that they can compete. It’s an unbelievable opportunity for
an aspiring professional dancer, and the spectacular prize money would help save
Lisa’s beloved dance studio, which is in need of major renovation. Scooping the
prize is going to take the performance of a lifetime from Lisa and Redmond, but
with the sizzling tension between them, they might just pull it off.
It turns out that putting on an act for the cameras is the least
of Lisa’s worries. As time goes on and she rediscovers her feelings for Redmond, she’s left questioning
what’s really behind his offer, and where their partnership is heading this time.

    About the Author

Danita Minnis grew up singing and once thought she would do that
all her life. She soon found writing just as fulfilling and writes paranormal romance.
She loves mystery, mysticism, the fantastic and the fey. She has published The Cardiff
Novels, a series about one family’s trials with vengeful demons, a legacy of ghosts
and mysterious blood jewels. She is currently working on the third novel in the
    Cardiff series,
which introduces the Cardiffs’ connection to ancient vampires.
If you asked her which is easier, writing songs or writing novels,
she would say it was the former. As a singer, melodies and rhymes are second nature.
What her characters want is another thing entirely. With her debut novel, Falcon’s
Angel Book 1 of the Cardiff Novel series, she learned not to save her characters.
That’s just the way they want it. In Love Entwined Book 2, they took over and would
not let her get a word in edge-wise.
Danita is a member of Romance Writers of America. She is a lover
of chocolate, a good, scary movie, kittens and pups – especially Siberian Huskies.
When she is not writing, she exercises her lungs at her son’s soccer matches and
their favorite theme park, because everyone knows it’s easier on the stomach to
scream your way down a roller coaster.

    Interview

How did you get your start in the industry?
    Six
years ago I turned 40. After I drowned my sorrows with champagne and chocolate, I made a list of all the things I wanted to do before I die. Morbid, I know, but number one on that list was write a novel. I said to myself, yeah, I’ve really got to do that, and continued to munch on the Cadbury’s chocolate that Dear Husband thoughtfully supplied.
    Two
years went by. I didn’t lose the day job, no mean feat given that the debacle that was 2008. I continued indulging my interest in (some may say obsession with) reality TV. Not a word was written.
    Then
on a Sunday afternoon while Dear Husband was taking a nap, I came up with a name: Kate Ryan. Before I knew it Kate had a husband, family, friends and one big problem — she and her husband had lost their high powered jobs and their savings. Her husband loses his mind and high tails it to Australia. Kate loses her mind and joins the cast of a local cable channel’s reality TV show.
I had a blast writing GOLD COAST WIVES! I wrote what I wanted how I wanted. Then reality sank in. I joined a local writing group, figured out that I made about 100 basic writing mistakes, rewrote it, rewrote it again, entered it into various RWA chapter contests, wrote it again and after two years submitted it to some publishers. In December 2010 I got the best Christmas present ever when Lyrical Press offered me a contract!
What websites do you visit daily?
Goodreads; Television Without Pity; Yahoonews; and Facebook
If you could change something about your first book, what would it be?
As a nice Catholic girl I had the hardest time writing any type of sex scene and in my first book, GOLD COAST WIVES, the sex scenes were beyond vanilla. That book is a light, fun, fluffy humorous romance so I think I got away with it. However, I decided after that I needed to get over my little problem if I wanted to be a successful romance writer. I think downloaded ten of the filthiest –OK, I know as a romance writer we’re not supposed to refer to spicy romance as filth, but I have to be honest, these were filthy and would put FIFTY SHADES OF GREY to shame. After my dirty book reading binge I was able to write sex scenes without blushing and even began to have fun with them. Each book in my paranormal romance series, the Devlin Legacy, got hotter and hotter and hotter!
If you could give the younger version of yourself advice what would it be?
RELAX!!!! I was a type A overachiever and if I could give myself any advice it would be spend more time having fun and less time in the library.
How do you cope with stress as an author?
I have enough stress at my day job. I write romance ultimately because I love it. Because it’s fun! I refuse to complain about something that has been such joy into my life. So I guess I deal with writer stress by denying it exists :)
What are some jobs youve done before (or while) you were a writer?
A very bad waitress and hopefully a better lawyer.
Imagine you get to go on a dream vacation, but you have only one hour to pack and leave, and it starts as soon as you finish this interview. What will you take with you and where will you go?
Sunscreen, my kindle, a pair of sneakers, my husband, and more sunscreen.
Where were you at midnight, on December 31st when the new century started?
Drinking in a dive bar with my fiancé (now husband).
What do you like to do when youre bored?
Helloooo?? Working mom here. I haven’t been bored in years–but I’m looking forward to it.
Please underline which statement is more like you:

Historical: Little Witch (Evolution Series) | Interview @jillhughey #RLFblog

    Little Witch
Jill Hughey, welcome to Romance Lives Forever.
Let’s talk about your book, Little Witch: Historical Romance Novella, the fifth
    installment in your Evolution Series.
    Genre: Historical Romance
    Publisher: self-published
    Cover artist: Rae Monet
    Length: 49,000 words
    Heat rating: Warm/Sensual
    Tagline: The night is
dark. The moon is bright. She brings his heart into her light.
    Blurb:
A vicious neighbor uses a series of coincidences to label Salena
as the local moon-charmer, making her an outcast in rural Francia. When Salena encounters
her brother’s childhood friend, Nox, out on business for the Lord of Ribeauville,
she fears he will accept the locals’ tales about her, especially since they relate
to the death of his family a decade before. He is, instead, as charmed by her as
    she is by him.
Nox’s sympathy for Salena evolves into affection in spite of
his strict rule against close ties with people. Afraid to risk another loss like
that of his youth, he abruptly ends their relationship, unaware that Salena has
already been downtrodden by her father denying her request to venture farther out
    into the world.
A threat to Salena’s family prompts her to run away in the hopes
of protecting those she loves while forging a new path for her life. Too late, Nox
discovers that she has also run away with his scarred heart.
    Buy links:
What are your main characters’ names, ages, and
    occupations?
Salena is 22 years old. She is the daughter of
a tenant farmer in the year 848, so her main occupation is helping her family survive
by growing and gathering food and supplies, but she longs to get out into the world.
Nox is 24 years old. He has worked for the Lord
of Ribeauville since he was orphaned at age14, and has been promoted from stableboy
to the lord’s representative with the tenants and landowners in his domain.
    Interview
What websites do you visit daily?
I visit Kindle Direct Publishing, Facebook, and
    Tweetdeck every day.
If you could choose anyone to be your mentor
    who would it be?
Mary Balogh. I enjoy her books immensely and,
based on her Facebook posts, she seems like a friendly, genuine lady.
If you could give the younger version of yourself
    advice what would it be?
Start writing romance right after graduating
from college. I never considered writing as a career choice back then and now I
    wonder why?
What is your work ethic when it comes to writing?
    I’m a pretty good self-starter. Any daylight
hours that I am not at my part-time job, or running kids around, I am working as
an author, one way or another. I used to do social media tasks at night, but I found
I wasn’t sleeping very well, so I’ve given myself permission to relax at least part
    of the evening.
Do things your family or friends do ever end
    up in a book?
Of course! In Little Witch, I especially enjoyed writing the sibling relationship
between Salena and her older brother, Grant. We’ve all experienced or observed the
younger child struggling to assert herself against the older, “wiser”
    one.
What kind of books do you read when taking a
    break from your own writing?
I read mainly historical romance. Surprisingly,
I’ve recently been enjoying a paranormal contemporary series too, which is a real
    shocker to me!
Imagine you get to go on a dream vacation, but
you have only one hour to pack and leave, and it starts as soon as you finish this
interview. What will you take with you and where will you go?
It would be a hard choice between Australia and Hawaii,
    but I’ll say Australia.
I’d take hiking clothes, beachwear, sunglasses, my laptop and my ereader, and hopefully
it would be a trip for two so I could bring my hubbie!
What is your favorite holiday and why?
Christmas, because I love Christmas music and
all the traditions that surround the holiday, though I must say it requires more
work as the mom than it ever did as a kid.
What good book have you read recently?
“First Grave on the Right” by Darynda
Jones starts the series I referred to in the earlier question. Really, really awesome
concept and fun characters. I am not normally a fan of contemporary or paranormal
romances, but she grabbed me with this one.
Please underline which statement is more
    like you:
“I am a vacation spa because I am laid back
    and relaxed.”
    “I am a ten-countries in ten-days tour vacation,
because I do things as fast as possible.”
    Please complete the sentences
    I love pizza with bacon.
I’m always ready for coffee or wine, depending
on the time of day and the circumstances
    .
    When I’m alone, I write.
You’d never be able to tell, but I can sing
    really, really high
    .
If I had a halo it
    would be tarnished.
    If I could stop worrying I’d U!
I can never enjoy skiing because I
    am terrified I will fall.
